It is extremely important that all decisions regarding Jewellery and Personal Effects are made clear to your Funeral Director. To me, all Jewellery is held as priceless and treated as such. Because of this I would encourage the removal and return of all Jewellery.

But here are some other options available.

  • Leave Jewellery with your loved one.
  • Put Jewellery on and leave on.
  • Put Jewellery on and remove prior to the funeral.
  • Remove Jewellery prior to the Funeral.
  • Remove Jewellery at the first possible opportunity.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the process, the item does not survive intact. The next step is highly dependent on the Local Authority or Crematorium Owner. Please visit for clarification.
